Unter dem Motto „Team Mother & Daughter – IN LOVE WE TRUST“ eröffnete das Label RIANI von Jürgen und Martina Buckenmaier am 28. Juni 2016 auf der Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week ihre Runway Show mit einem eindrucksvollen Kurzfilm, über die verschiedenen Etappen der Mutter-Tochter-Beziehung. Die Kollektion sollte die Harmonie, Intensität und gleichzeitig die Spannung dieser Verbindung wiederspiegeln.
Ulrich Schulte, Head of Design, sorgte beim Publikum für viel Aufmerksamkeit als er die Kollektion nicht nur von bekannten Models wie Larissa Marolt oder Rebecca Mir präsentieren ließ, sondern auch durch deren prominente Mütter.
Als geheimnisvoll, lebendig und ungewöhnlich könnte man die Kollektion beschreiben. Von dem klassischen Strickpulli bis hin zur stylischen Bomberjacke war alles vorhanden. Der graumetallic-Farbton stand bei der Kollektion stark im Vordergrund. Er tauchte im Kontrast zu fließend transparenten Stoffen als auch zu steiferen Materialien und gedeckten Farben.
Key Pieces wie eine silberne Yoga-Matte oder bunte Patches auf dem Blazer oder Pullover mit dem Aufdruck „Wish You Were Here“ verliehen der Kollektion eine einzigartige Frische. Auffällig war außerdem das Zusammenspiel von sportlichen und klassischen Elementen. Der Designer kombinierte beispielsweise Blazer mit Jogginghose oder mit einem lässigen Kapuzenpullover.
RIANI setzt mit der gesamten Präsentation der Kollektion ein Statement, dass Mode keine Frage des Alters, sondern eine Frage der Einstellung ist. Mode ist vielfältig und die Vielfältigkeit sollte von jeder Frau, in jedem Alter, ausgeschöpft werden.
Zum krönenden Abschluss der Show liefen die Mutter-Tochter-Duos Hand in Hand auf dem Laufsteg und posierten für die Zuschauer und Fotografen. Moderatorin und ehemaliges Model Bettina Cramer, präsentierte stolz ihre kleine Tochter und drückte ihr einen liebevollen Kuss auf die Wange. Die Show wurde letztlich mit kräftigem Applaus und Standing Ovations beendet als sich Ulrich Schulte (Head of Design) dankend von dem Publikum verabschiedete.
