Fashion Week Poland 2014 SS15: Studio, Day 1

Studio Shows, Tag 1/Day 1

The first Show of Fashionphilosophy Fashion Week Poland 2014 SS15 showcased young, upcoming designers in a studio – a very familiar atmosphere in a small location.

EDYTA PIETRZYK

A strong collection in neutral colors and pale pink – the designer elegantly combines geometrical 3D applications on simple cuts in flowing fabric with a casual silhouette to create a clean, convincingready-to-wear collections that turned out to be everyone’s favourite of the three shown.

The collections inspiration was undoubtedly streetstyle – wild prints in dark green with heavy orange detailing set the tropical mood, which was underlined by the logoprint on metallic gold pineapples. Baggy dresses and shorts that reminded of bermudas, gold or striped mesh…there was definitely a sporty beach influence. This was underlined by the shoes: rubbery orange pool-slippers.

Drapage and simple cuts were the central aspects of a collection that consisted, apart from a few sandy nuances (the theme was “Desert Flower”) mostly of black evening gowns. Even though it featured one or two black caftans that would certainly do well at a resort pool in Dubai, the Serbian designer did not manage to to convince.
